1966年シリアルのミラー/ギルト文字盤のデイトジャストRef.1600です。
ミラーダイヤルは完璧に近いコンディションで、６・９のインデックスがドアのストッパーのような形状をしていることからドアストップダイヤルとも呼ばれています。
60年代のミラーダイヤルは文字が金色【ギルト】になっているのが特徴で、60年後半-70年以降のプリント文字とは一線を画した重厚感があります。
艶が特徴のダイヤルですが、スムースベゼルに合わせてメンテナンスの際にドーム型風防に交換されているため、より艶、丸みのある表情を見せてくれます。60年代の初期・中期時期にみれらるアルファハンドがセットされており、ブレスは巻きのジュビリー、クラスプの年代も65年なので当時の雰囲気を堪能できます。

The mirror dial is in near-perfect condition, and the distinctive 6 and 9 o’clock markers are shaped like door stoppers, which is why collectors often refer to this configuration as a “doorstop dial.”

One of the defining features of mirror dials from the 1960s is their gilt printing. Unlike the printed dials of the late 1960s and 1970s, these gilt dials have a much deeper and more substantial presence.

Gloss is a defining part of this dial, and in this case it is enhanced further by the domed acrylic crystal fitted during service, which suits the smooth bezel particularly well and gives the watch an even rounder, richer expression. It is also fitted with the alpha hands seen on early- to mid-1960s examples, while the bracelet is a folded Jubilee with a 1965 clasp, adding to the period feel throughout.
