This is an all-round lens that features a moderately wide angle of view and a natural perspective. It can be used for a wide variety of purposes, from close-up photography that makes use of bokeh to high-contrast depictions with constant light, and pan-focus landscape photography. The optical system uses a floating system in which the lens group behind the aperture changes its relative position to the lens group in front depending on the focusing, providing high image quality even in close-up photography. It also comes with a full metal screw-on square lens hood. This lens hood contributes greatly to the compactness of the entire lens.
