This is the black painted model of the M8, Leica's first M digital camera. The M8 was only available in a black chrome finish, but there were a few black painted models available later.
Its distinctive features are the release button, shutter dial, and other parts finished in silver chrome, the top and underplates finished in black paint, and the Leica logo on the front.
Although it is often confused, it is not an M8.2. It is a black painted M8. Therefore, the shutter speed is a high 1/8000.
