Ukiyo-e "Hell Courtesan Jitsuhakkaidoro"
¥130,000
Iron Maiden x Ukiyo-e Concept
Iron Maiden is known for not only their music but also for their album covers that tell a story.
This story is reflected in the artwork, and when it was turned into an ukiyo-e print, the story was carefully considered.
This time, Eddie came to the Edo period and recorded his mischief, which was recorded by an Edo ukiyo-e artist of the time.
I created a fictional setting in which it was drawn as a yokai picture (※).
(※) Yokai art is a genre of ukiyo-e, and KISS Ukiyo-e also features yokai art.
There is also a work based on this motif called "Four Kissing Demons."
The logo on the bottom right of the work is based on the motif of the legendary torture device "Iron Maiden", and features the characters "Iron Maiden no Uchi" (Legends of Unclean Deeds). The characters mean "a legend that records unclean deeds".
"Hell Courtesan Truth is Destruction" (Hell Courtesan Truth Edition)
This monster illustration was drawn by an Edo ukiyo-e artist based on the testimony of a young master of a kimono wholesaler who came to meet a popular courtesan in Yoshiwara. When he looked at the courtesan in a mirror, he saw that her beautiful face was a mask, and underneath it was an Eddie with an inappropriate smile on his face, and he was completely shocked.
This is the first time that Eddie has transformed into a woman, creating a mischievous style.

UKIYO-E PROJECT
The ukiyo-e production team is working on the project with artisans such as painters, carvers, and printers who have inherited techniques from the Edo period. Modern stars such as KISS, Iron Maiden, and David Bowie have been depicted as ukiyo-e, and they have quickly become a hot topic both in Japan and overseas.
