Introducing the Rolex Submariner 1680/8 Fujitsubo Black Dial. This was the first solid gold Submariner model. It was released around 1969 with a meter-first dial, followed by this feet-first dial. This Fujitsubo solid gold model is said to have been made for about 10 years, but it seems that it was only produced three times: around 1969, around 1971-1972, and around 1976-1977. It was quite expensive at the time and the tariffs on gold were very high, so it was produced in small numbers and not made every year like other models. Among them, the black dial is less than half the number of blue dials, and this ratio is the same today.
The dial is a matte black barnacle (nipple) dial, and the lettering on the bezel insert is mostly silver. The crown is an early type without a gasket on the tube.
The original bracelet is called "Debeso" and has a crown on the tip of the buckle. As mentioned above, the bracelet was delivered in leather due to customs duties at the time. Therefore, it is rare to see this original bracelet. The patent engraving is also on the extended part stored inside the buckle.
This is a reference product, so please use it as a reference.
