The Bubbleback is one of those watches that I personally will always buy if I find a good one. However, there are a wide variety of models, and most of them have reworked dials or different cases and movements, so it's true that it's hard to find a good one.
The watch I was lucky enough to come across this time was a Ref. 2940/1945-46y all-stainless steel diamond hand. This diamond hand was only produced for about a year between 1945 and 1946. Usually, the hands are baton or Mercedes hands, but this one has the shape of the hour hand shown in the image.
The rotor of the movement has had the word "PERPETUAL" added since 1945, but it remains a flat rotor. The case back is also engraved with "31 VICTOIRES", which means that the watch won 31 awards in precision tests at the Royal Observatory, Kew. Incidentally, 31 is the highest number of awards ever. This is also a characteristic of the case back engravings from 1945-46. In other words, this is a rare piece whose hands, movement, and case all fit the production period of 1945-46.

This is a very rare piece of stainless steel that we have finally found, so please take good care of it and pass it on to future generations.
