Daytona 6265 Mark 1 has arrived.
In 1970, the final hand-wound Daytona, the 6265/6263, was released. The adoption of a screw lock made it waterproof to 50mm, and the movement was improved to become the Cal. 727. This was the last complete movement, based on the Valjoux 72 and improved upon.

The dial of the Daytona 6265/6263 released around 1970-72 is classified as Mark 1, does not have the word "DAYTONA" written on it, and has a T SWISS T at the 6 o'clock position. It is followed by the Mark 1 row letter, Sigma, and so on. If you look for it, you will see that it is a very rare dial. Moreover, the dial is in very beautiful condition with no stains or scratches. The luminous dot at 3 o'clock has worn off a little, but there is no luminous backing. It is original.
The bezel is a Mark 2, which is also a rare original. It is barely polished and has deep engravings. And the pushers are Mark 1. As you can see in the picture, they are characterized by shallow and fine grooves. The FF271/7835 winding bracelet is attached. The early models (Mark 1) from 1970 to 1972 were this FF and bracelet combination, which changed to FF371 from 1973.

Overall it is a very well-balanced and highly original piece.
