This is one of the Autavia chronographs delivered to the Argentine Air Force by Heuer in the good old days before the company was acquired by TAG. The movement is the Valjoux 72, which was considered the best chronograph at the time, and the hand-wound Daytona was also based on the same Valjoux 72.
The Heuer-era chronographs based on the Valjoux 72 are now attracting attention all over the world. Both the Carrera and the Autavia have cool designs. Of course, they are also practical, so it's no surprise that they are so popular.
Returning to the Argentine Air Force Autavia, the main features of this watch are the red center second hand (chronograph hand), the red five-minute mark on the minute circle, and the Argentine Air Force mark and three-digit number engraved on the back. The exact number of units produced is unknown, but it is true that they were extremely few.
It's very well made and well designed, so it's sure to be a fun read.
We also perform overhauls, so the feel of the start button is excellent. Manual winding chronographs are great after all.
*We are also focusing on selling the finest vintage items that have timeless value. Please look forward to it.
