1983年製のデイデイト18038は、一つ前の1803や後継の18238に比べケースに厚みが特徴。ケースはほとんど磨きは入っておらず、ラグ裏の刻印も明瞭に残っています。フルーテッドベゼルの山も潰れておらず、金無垢ケースとして非常に良好です。
文字盤はレモンのような色合いの10Pダイヤ。6時・9時位置にバゲットダイヤが入る構成で、一般的なサンレイのような放射状の反射ではなく、マットなメタリックダイヤル。

This 1983 Rolex Day-Date Ref.18038 is characterized by its thicker case profile compared with both the previous Ref.1803 and the later Ref.18238. The case appears to have seen very little polishing, with the engravings on the back of the lugs still clearly visible. The fluted bezel also retains sharp, well-defined ridges, leaving the 18K yellow gold case in excellent overall condition.
The dial is a LEMON 10P diamond dial, with baguette diamonds at 6 and 9 o’clock. Rather than the typical sunray finish with strong radial reflections, it has a matte metallic tone with a more subdued texture.
