We’ve just received a late-serial Rolex Daytona Ref. 116520 in a full set.
The silver subdials are a detail unique to this reference—seen on neither the models before nor after it. Around 2000, Rolex transitioned to fully in-house production including the movement, and the design was significantly updated as well—perhaps reflecting the brand’s high expectations for this new era. The overall look feels distinctly more luxurious.
