GMT-MASTER II Ref.16710 “CHUCK YEAGER” First Edition。
ザ・リアルマッコイズによって企画・販売された特別仕様で、第一弾ではペプシベゼル、コークベゼル、ブラックベゼルがそれぞれ50本ずつ製作されました。
価格の参考として、2021年のPhillips “The Hong Kong Watch Auction: XIV” では、別個体のコークベゼルの01/50が1,008,000香港ドルで落札されています。現在の為替では約2,000万円相当。
ペプシベゼルとブラックベゼルはRef.16700をベースとしており、合計100本。一方、コークベゼルのみGMT-MASTER IIのRef.16710をベースとしており、生産数は50本のみです。First Editionの中でも、Ref.16710としてはこのコークベゼルが一番少ないです。
ダイヤル下部には「Chuck Yeager」、最下部には「The Real McCoy’s」の表記が入ります。
こちらはほとんど使用感のない、未研磨の個体です。
GMT-MASTER II Ref.16710 “CHUCK YEAGER” First Edition.
This is a special edition planned and sold by The Real McCoy’s. For the First Edition, 50 pieces each were produced with Pepsi, Coke, and black bezels.
As a reference point for its market value, an example of the same Coke bezel version, numbered 01/50, was sold at Phillips “The Hong Kong Watch Auction: XIV” in 2021 for HKD 1,008,000, which is equivalent to approximately JPY 20 million at the current exchange rate.
The Pepsi and black bezel versions were based on the Ref.16700, with a total of 100 pieces produced. The Coke bezel version, however, was the only First Edition variant based on the GMT-MASTER II Ref.16710, and was limited to just 50 pieces.
The lower part of the dial is printed with “Chuck Yeager,” with “The Real McCoy’s” printed at the very bottom.
This example shows almost no signs of use and appears to remain unpolished.
