1962年のデイトジャストRef.1603ミラーダイヤル
デイトジャスト初期の特徴である、楔形インデックスとアルファハンドの組み合わせを備えた一本です。ダイヤルはオンリーSWISS表記のオリジナル。大ぶりなクラックが見られるものの、漆黒の艶はしっかりと残っている美しい一本。

お気づきの方もいらっしゃると思いますが、ベゼルは竹の節を思わせる「バンブーベゼル」と呼ばれる希少なタイプ(スリーテッドとも呼ばれます)。ケースもポリッシュは最小限で、オリジナルシェイプをしっかり残しています。

現在オーバーホールを行なっており、7月末完了予定です。納品後はメンテナンスの心配なく、そのままお使いいただけます。
非常にオリジナリティの高い一本です。

A 1962 Datejust Ref.1603 with mirror dial.

This example carries the combination that defines the early Datejust: wedge-shaped hour markers paired with Alpha hands. The dial is an original "SWISS only" execution. While it shows a prominent crack, the deep gloss of the black mirror finish remains beautifully intact.

As some of you may have noticed, the bezel is the rare type known as the "bamboo bezel" for its resemblance to bamboo joints (also called the slotted bezel). The case, too, has seen only minimal polishing and retains its original shape well.

The watch is currently undergoing an overhaul, scheduled for completion at the end of July. Once delivered, it can be worn with confidence and no immediate servicing required.
