Heuer 844の初期モデルは、1979年頃に登場したホイヤー初期のダイバーズ。「Monnin（モニン）モデル」と呼ばれるフランス製ケースを採用し、初期のダイヤルはフランス語で、文字盤には「200 metres Professionel」と表記されている。また、6時位置の「MADE IN FRANCE」もこのダイヤルのみ。後期はSWISS MADEになる。

ダイヤルだけでなく。特徴的なカセドラル針とフランス製ムーブメントを備えるのも生産数が少ない初期ロットのみ。その後生産拠点がスイスに移行してからはETAムーブメントに変更されます。

The early Heuer 844, introduced around 1979, represents the first generation of Heuer’s dive watches. Known as the “Monnin” model, it features a French-made case, and the earliest dials were printed in French with the “200 metres Professionel” designation. Only these early dials carry the “MADE IN FRANCE” marking, which later changed to “SWISS MADE” once production shifted to Switzerland.

Not only the dial but also the distinctive cathedral hands and the French FE movement were exclusive to this low-production early batch. After manufacturing moved to Switzerland, the movement was replaced with an ETA caliber.
