The 16610LV was Rolex’s special 50th-anniversary Submariner, introduced in 2003 — the piece that brought a green bezel into the modern Sub story. 
Green is Rolex’s corporate color. And because this one uses an aluminum insert, it can age in that subtle, imperfect way — a small thing, but a huge pleasure if you’re into vintage character.
