I personally love the Explorer 1 1016. And it has a mirror dial. The later mirror dials (1965-1966) have a cute and timeless dial with rounded fonts for 3, 6, and 9 without a minute circle. And because the paint was changed to a lacquer-based paint, the black luster remains beautiful. Moreover, the dials of this era have a tropical feel (they age to a brown color).

In the summer of 2020, we spent about 250,000 yen on a complete overhaul. You can use it for a long time with peace of mind.

Both the dial and hands are in beautiful original condition. The 3 o'clock side appears brown depending on the lighting (tropical).
