Personally, my favorite Rolex sports model is the 1016. The last dial in the mirror is especially shiny and beautiful.
The size and design remain the same, making it a complete model in a sense. I don't know how many I've bought or sold, but it's one I want to keep on hand at all times. I feel like this is the origin of the sports model. Please give it a try.

This 1016 mirror just came out of overhaul this month and comes with a 2-year warranty. It comes with a Rolex O/H warranty card. There is a slight mark on the 9 o'clock side of the case, so the price has been kept low. It was not polished during the overhaul, so if you wish, you can polish it to make it look nice.
