This is a Daytona 16520R made in 1988, with a floating dial and 200 tachymeter bezel. This is the Mark 1 bezel with the Mark 1 dial.
This is also the first model in which the Daytona was changed from a manual winding to an automatic winding, and the movement was changed from a Valjoux base to a Zenith El Primero base.

Recently, the R-series case has been called the "Kamaboko case." This is exactly that "Kamaboko case." (Please refer to the image for a comparison with the N-series white dial.)
Indeed, when viewed from the side of the case, the lugs in particular appear thick and wide.
However, it is not obviously huge and chunky like the Tudor Chronotime.

As for the condition, the dial is very clean with no stains, burns, or other deterioration. As you can see from the pictures, the bezel is also well engraved and beautiful. The case retains its original shape and has barely been polished. Both the FF and bracelet are original and the clasp cord matches the era. The only difference is that the hour and minute hands have been replaced with tritium hands from the mid-90s.
