A crisp 6240 Daytona has arrived. It has a tight black dial, Mark 1 bezel and Mark 0 pushers.
The condition of the case is also very good and you can see the quality of the material. The Mark 0 pushers are showing the brass base, but this is fine as it is.
The dial is the early small-scale "DAYTONA". The Ref. 6240 is said to have been produced experimentally from 1965. Judging from the serial number, this particular watch is believed to have been made in 1966. The dial is an early feature that does not yet have the word OYSTER. Although the luminous material has fallen off in a few places, it does not detract from the atmosphere and is in good condition.

The movement is 72B. It is stable despite its low beat.
