This is an introduction to the early Daytona 16520 with a stepped 225 tachymeter. It was in 1988 that it changed from manual winding to automatic winding, and was equipped with the famous El Primero. The very first specifications were a stepped dial with a 200 tachymeter bezel, and the serial numbers were almost all R numbers. Immediately after the L series came out, the stepped dial was combined with a 225 tachymeter. (Some 4-line combinations with a 200 tachymeter are also available.)
Then, it is combined with a 4-line 225 tachymeter bezel. The stepped dial is especially rare and has a well-balanced arrangement of the letters, making it highly popular among collectors.
The serial number starts with L2, so it is likely to be from 1988, the first year of production of 16520, shortly after it became an L serial number.

The condition of the dial, bezel and case is good as shown in the pictures, and there are no particular issues. The hands are all original tritium. The bracelet is also original.
It is a very good product that doesn't look like it has been touched anywhere. It comes with only the main body and no accessories, but there is nothing to worry about.
