グレーがかったシルバーの文字盤に、ホワイトレター。色の組み合わせで、消え入るように見えることから「ゴーストダイヤル」と呼ばれています。1500はベゼルがスムースで、3連のオイスターブレスと合わせたときの全体の収まりがカッコよく見えます。よく見ると、12時位置のアプライド（立体）のクラウンに淡くグラデーションの焼けが入っており、経年変化としていい表情になっています。
70年代のヴィンテージでありながら、シルバー基調の洗練された印象をもつゴースト。状態のいいものはなかなか出てこないです。

A silver dial with a grey cast, printed in white. The lettering sits at such low contrast that it seems to fade into the dial — hence the name "ghost dial." The 1500 carries a smooth bezel, and paired with the three-link Oyster bracelet, the whole watch sits together well. Look closely at the applied Rolex crown at twelve and you'll find a soft gradient in the patina — age has given it a good face.

A seventies piece, but with the restrained, silver-toned look that keeps it from reading as old. Ghost dials in this condition don't turn up often.
