1973年のデイトジャストRef.1601、マットブラックダイヤル×WGフルーテッドベゼルの個体です。オリジナルのトリチウム夜光が残っており、巻きジュビリーブレスが組み合わさった一本です。

1601は、SSケースにWG製のフルーテッドベゼルを組み合わせたデイトジャストで、ステンレスベゼルの1603とは異なる落ち着いた対比が特徴です。この個体はつや消しの表面にシルバープリント文字を持つマットダイヤル仕様です。ギルトとは違い、抑制の利いた印象がWGベゼルの品の良さと自然に合っています。針と夜光はオリジナルのトリチウムが残っており、経年による変色も含めて70年代前半のヴィンテージ感が出ています。

流通量の少ない黒文字盤に、オリジナルのブレスが付いているのを考慮すると、充分に選択肢に入る一本です。

This is a 1973 Rolex Datejust Ref.1601 with a matte black dial and a white gold fluted bezel. It retains its original tritium lume and is fitted with a folded Jubilee bracelet.

The Ref.1601 is a Datejust that combines a stainless steel case with an 18K white gold fluted bezel, giving it a quieter and more refined contrast compared to the Ref.1603, which features a stainless steel bezel.

This particular example features a matte dial with a non-gloss surface and silver-tone printed text. Unlike the gilt dials of the earlier period, the restrained character of the matte dial pairs naturally with the elegance of the white gold bezel. The hands and lume remain original tritium, and their natural aging adds to the vintage atmosphere of an early 1970s Rolex.
