デイトナ 6265 マーク1、入荷しました。
1970年、手巻きデイトナの最終世代となるRef.6265/6263が登場します。スクリューロックプッシャーの採用で防水性能は50mへ。ムーブメントも改良され、Cal.727へアップデート。バルジュー72をベースに磨き上げられた、“手巻きデイトナの完成形”みたいな存在です。
そして1970〜72年頃の初期個体に見られる文字盤が、いわゆる「マーク1」。最大の特徴は「DAYTONA」表記が入らないこと。6時位置表記は「T SWISS T」。ここからマーク1ローレター、シグマ…と移り変わっていきます。探すと本当に見つからない。希少性は、調べるほど実感するタイプのダイヤルです。
しかも今回の個体、文字盤の汚れや傷がほとんど見当たらず、かなり綺麗な状態をキープ。3時位置の夜光ドットがほんの少し欠けていますが、夜光の後乗せなどはなく、しっかりオリジナルです。
ベゼルはマーク2。こちらも希少なオリジナルで、過度に磨かれていないため彫りは深く、輪郭がちゃんと立っています。プッシャーはマーク1で、画像でも分かる通り溝が浅く細かいのが特徴。
ブレスはFF271／7835の巻きブレスを装着。1970〜72年の初期モデル（マーク1）はこのFF×ブレスの組み合わせが基本で、1973年頃からFF371へ変更されていきます。

総じて、ディテールの辻褄が合っていて、オリジナリティが高い一本。

Daytona Ref.6265 Mark 1, just in.

In 1970, Rolex introduced the final generation of hand-wound Daytonas: Ref.6265/6263. With screw-down pushers, water resistance was upgraded to 50m. The movement was also refined into the Cal.727 — the last and most complete evolution of the Valjoux 72 base. This is basically the “finished form” of the manual-wind Daytona.

Now, the dial seen on early pieces from around 1970–72 is what collectors call the “Mark 1.” The biggest tell: there is no “DAYTONA” text on the dial. At 6 o’clock it reads “T SWISS T.” From there the sequence moves on to Mark 1 “low-letter,” sigma dials, and so on. But the true Mark 1 is one of those things you only realize is rare once you actually try to find one — it’s just not out there.

And this particular example is in remarkably clean condition. Hardly any dirt or scratches on the dial — it’s stayed beautifully preserved. The lume dot at 3 o’clock has a tiny loss, but there’s no reluming or later application. It’s original.

The bezel is a Mark 2 — also a scarce original part. It hasn’t been overly polished, so the engraving is deep and the edges are still sharp. The pushers are Mark 1 as well, with the shallow, fine grooves that define the early type.

It comes on an FF271 / 7835 folded-link bracelet. For early 1970–72 pieces (Mark 1 era), this FF + bracelet combination is correct, before Rolex switched to FF371 around 1973.

All in, it’s a very coherent watch — the details line up, and the overall originality is seriously strong.
