1973年シリアルのデイトジャストRef.1603、エンジンターンドベゼルのシルバーダイヤルです。ブレスはジュビリー6251H FF55の巻きタイプ。クラスプは72年3期、本体の年式と整合しています。

文字盤の6時位置下部には「σ」(シグマ)記号が入っています。1970年前後から使われはじめた業界団体による表示で、文字盤の装飾に一定基準以上の貴金属が使われていることを示すもの。この個体ではインデックスにホワイトゴールドが使われていることの裏付けになります。70年代前半のトリチウム期に見られる、この時代固有のディテールのひとつです。
トリチウムのオリジナル夜光は全て残っており、ダイヤルにもほとんど劣化が見られません。

This is a 1973-serial Datejust Ref.1603 with silver dial and engine-turned bezel. The bracelet is the folded Jubilee 6251H FF55.

At the lower six o'clock position of the dial sits the "σ" (sigma) marking. Introduced around 1970 by a Swiss industry association, it certifies that precious metal above a set standard is used in the dial furniture — in this example, confirmation that the hour markers are white gold. It is a detail specific to the tritium-lume period of the early 1970s, one of the small signatures of this era.

The original tritium lume is fully intact, and the dial shows almost no deterioration.

A sigma-marked dial, untouched original lume, and a period-matching folded bracelet: this is an early-1970s Datejust preserved much as it left the factory.
