1983年製のデイデイト18038は、一つ前の1803や後継の18238に比べケースに厚みが特徴。ケースはほとんど磨きは入っておらず、ラグ裏の刻印も明瞭に残っています。フルーテッドベゼルの山も潰れておらず、金無垢ケースとして非常に良好です。
文字盤はシャンパンカラーの10Pダイヤ。6時・9時位置にバゲットダイヤが入る構成で、一般的なサンレイのような放射状の反射ではなく、ややマットで落ち着いた質感。

This 1983 Rolex Day-Date Ref.18038 has a noticeably thick case compared with both the earlier Ref.1803 and the later Ref.18238. The case appears to have seen very little polishing, with the engravings on the back of the lugs still clearly visible. The fluted bezel also retains sharp, well-defined ridges, making the 18K yellow gold case exceptionally well preserved.
The dial is a champagne 10P diamond dial, with baguette diamonds at 6 and 9 o’clock. Rather than the typical sunray finish with strong radial reflections, this dial has a more matte, restrained texture.
